For the Y8 sailboat, the follow-up model to the first YYACHT, our design and development team collaborated with Surge Projects, the famous Mallorcan design studio directed by Javier Jaudenes. The yachts designed by Javier Jaudenes are characterized by an elegantly timeless design, but Jaudenes also has tremendous experience in designing fast and interesting yachts such as the famous “Win Win” or the Café Racer.
The new Y8 carbon yacht has a wider stern, so in combination with the mast placed further back, Javier Jaudenes predicts great potential for its design: “The jib will provide a lot of speed. Many results from R&D from previous projects. It is an essence of our experience and it will be fast, but at the same time very safe in any conditions. The fact that YYachts builds its sailboats from carbon fits naturally with our philosophy.” “This is a very fun yacht. I would describe it as a good mood yacht.”
Of course, the new Y8 also offers the standard innovations that YYachts are accustomed to, such as the transverse garage in the stern, the self-tacking sail, the separate access for the crew in the cockpit or the flat deck deckhouse, whose windows located They optimally prevent the interior from getting too hot.
The interior volume of the Y8 sailboat is now 20 percent larger than its predecessors such as “Cool Breeze”, “Makai” or “Vegas Baby”, opening up the possibility of creating even more layout options. For example, the Y8 is the only boat in its category that offers the possibility of obtaining a design with 4 large double cabins. By locating the engine room under the saloon floor, the yacht has a lower center of gravity and therefore better balance, which translates into additional speed.

Variable interior design and layout.
Thanks to our modular construction, the layout can be adapted to the owner’s wishes. For example, it is possible to locate the owner’s cabin in the bow or aft, and the number of guest cabins can be chosen (up to 4), which is exceptional in this class.

Interior Layout
There are numerous options for dividing the Y7 below deck that will suit your needs perfectly, depending on whether you are used to sailing solo or with a crew, or whether you prefer an open galley to a closed one on your yacht.
The Y7 offers the best crew cabin in its boat class (65 to 75 feet), with its own entrance from the cabin, two single beds and a separate bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. In addition, up to four guest rooms are possible on your yacht.

The Y8 Custom luxury sailboat
Based on the successful design of the Y8, the German shipyard YYACHTS has developed for a former sailor a more tailored version with a different philosophy, designed to balance design, performance, efficiency and practicality for long-distance cruising and racing. One of the key factors to achieve this objective is the absence of backstays and the use of a larger square, which improves performance in light winds.
The main salon of this custom luxury yacht consists of a sumptuous area that includes a relaxing lounge and an exclusive dining room. This space can be used as part of the saloon, or by closing the doors you can expand the main cabin, turning it into a fully equipped sailor’s office. For this reason, there are several cabinets here dedicated to kitchen utensils and cutlery on one side, and office materials and equipment on the other. The crew cabin is located aft and is separate from the rest of the boat. The crew has two entrances, one connected to the cockpit and another near the saloon.

The exterior of the Y8 Custom stands out for a more protected cockpit, a longer roof and a different garage system for tenders in the stern with a new crane system to facilitate launching, all decisions guided by the objective of creating a yacht more suitable for long distance travel.
